Quality Beef
Winn-Dixie is now selling Naturewell Beef, which claims to provide beef from non-cannibalistic cattle. My impression is that this beef is not as good as Whole Food’s, but better than the standard, supermarket fare.
Excellent Cheeses
- Dodoni Feta: Don Demetrio, owner of Cafe Demetrio in Coral Gables, FL, generously let me sample this excellent Greek feta, which was perfectly salty with a goat-cheese aftertaste and went very well with olive oil, black pepper and tomatoes.
- Daily Bread Vlahotiri Sliced Cheese
- French Feta also from Daily Bread. Very creamy and not very salty.
